Blood on the Clocktower

A village, a demon, and a room full of people lying to each other very politely.

Bluffing, accusations and a Storyteller who enjoys the chaos a little too much.

How it goes

Clocktower nights are the loudest thing we do. Everyone gets a role, most of them useful, some of them actively misleading, and one of you is the demon trying to survive the day. The Storyteller runs the game in voice while the rest of us argue about who is trustworthy.

We play the online version, so there is nothing to buy and nothing to set up. Games last around an hour and we usually run two or three in a night. Dead players stay in the call to chat, which is where half the fun happens.

When we play

Evening sessions

Announced in Discord, usually when enough people are online for a full village.

Good to know

  • Voice is required: the whole game happens in conversation.
  • No experience needed, the rules are explained before the first night falls.
  • Bluffing stays in the game. We do not carry grudges into the next session.

On the night

What a session actually looks like

  • Beginner scripts first

We start on Trouble Brewing so new players only juggle a handful of roles before we get strange.

  • Dead but not gone

Eliminated players keep talking, keep guessing and keep being wrong out loud.

  • Storyteller rota

Anyone who wants to run a game gets taught how, so the same person is not always stuck behind the screen.

“I was the demon for three games and nobody suspected a thing. I am slightly worried.”
